We get told what Oliver saw or didn't see, but we're never present when the cool stuff happens or only witness it through the eyes of an bystander like his girlfriend. We get told there was just the ghost of an abused woman standing next to the bed and vanishing again and how shaken Oliver feels now, because that apparently had happened, but we get thrown into the scene long after the fact.
